The next generation

Hampshire gets great school results, and the proportion of children in Good or Outstanding schools has grown significantly since 2010.  10,700 new places have been created since 2010, and the latest local investment is the brand new Oakmoor Academy secondary school in Bordon.

I welcome the increase in money for schools announced by the government.  And I want to see more people being attracted to the noble profession that is teaching.  When I was Education Secretary, I made tackling excessive teacher workload my #1 priority, and it was great to see new figures that suggest we are at last starting to turn that corner.
