It has been a great privilege to serve the Greenfields Estate as your local Conservative District Councillor, and I really appreciate the warm welcome I always receive from local residents.

Those residents who have contacted me with a problem or question tell me they have always felt that I have done my best to help and to act in the best interests of our town.
Local residents have always been clear about what they want to see done in the local area - clean and safe streets free from litter, pavements and highways that are maintained, a sense of community spirit, vibrant town centre, and value-for-money services from the Council - these are your priorities and MINE.
Alton is growing. We are facing a shortage of genuinely affordable housing. We have a plan to ensure that the infrastructure and services are in place for everyone to live, learn, work, shop and play in Alton. I support the proposed Country Park and Butterfly Meadows at Treloars.
I believe in transparent and open government and support the Town Council’s plans to increase public participation by providing opportunities for members of the public to take part in the Council’s decision making processes including budget setting and free access to information.
Council services should be provided at the most local level possible. I will support the devolvement of services wherever possible. Litter and overgrown alleyways appear to be a consequence of austerity. I believe that civic pride is too important for this to continue
I am already in the Community as a registered social worker supporting adults with learning difficulties. I am a senior steward for Unite the Union. I was a Town Cllr from 2003 until 2015 and Town Mayor in 2011. I have represented Amery on the EHDC since May 2011.
A key interest for me is community support for youth services. Investing in young people ensures they feel valued and have access to the support and positive role models that make such a difference at a crucial juncture in their lives
In the wider community I will fight to stop any further cuts to public transport. Rail and bus services seem to operate for the convenience of those who provide them rather than those who rely on and pay to use them.
