Damian and his wife, Jacqui, live in the constituency between Alton and Petersfield. With three children under six, they have just as much trouble as the rest of us keeping the family amused during the long summer break.  Damian points out that there is no better time to get out and about exploring East Hampshire. He came up with five ideas to get us all started:
.Petersfield Museum is offering fun for all the family with free arts and crafts sessions throughout August. See their website for more details: http://www.petersfieldmuseum.co.uk/images/Schoolholleaflet-2015.jpg
.Why not indulge in the beautiful local landscape and inspiration to many of Jane Austen’s novels with the Circular walk or Jane Austen Trail. See here for more details: http://www.visit-hampshire.co.uk/ideas-and-inspiration/famous-faces/jane-austen
.Find out more about the adventures of Captain Lawrence Oates on the 1911 Scott expedition at the Oates Museum: http://www.gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk/
.For the adventurous minded, Go Ape promises a fun packed day with its Tree Top Junior Adventure: http://goape.co.uk/treetopadventure
.Last but not least, the Watercress Lines’ steam trains promise young and old a blast into the past: http://www.visit-hampshire.co.uk/things-to-do/mid-hants-railway-watercress-line-p13471
