CONSERVATIVES FIELD FULL SLATE OF CANDIDATES

The elections for Hampshire County Councillors will take place on Thursday 4th May and East Hampshire Conservatives will be fighting every seat. Currently, all six divisions in the East Hampshire constituency are held by Conservatives and they are determined to keep it that way. DAMIAN HINDS, MP - STATEMENT ON WESTMINSTER ATTACK

Those of us who were inside the building – MPs, peers, and the thousands of Westminster staff – were in lock down, and, thanks to the immense bravery of the police, safe.  It is others’ families who mourn.  Those mown down on the bridge had no connection to the British state or to Parliament, other than to have been near it at the time.  They were of many nationalities and, presumably, religions. The carnage was random.

Cllr Ferris Cowper, EHDC Leader, announces decision to step down

It was announced today that Ferris Cowper, the pioneer of a new way of running local government, is to step down as leader of East Hampshire District Council. "I feel that political leaders have a habit of outstaying their welcome and I do not plan to let that happen to me," he said. "I want to step down while I’m still at the very top of my game."
