General Election 2019 & Postal Votes

The General Election

The election will be on Thursday 12th December.  Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.  You do not need your poll card to vote at a polling station.

Given the winter weather, many people may prefer to vote by post this time.  You do not need to give a reason for wanting a postal vote.  However, if you are going to be away in the run-up to election day, a proxy vote may be more suitable.

The East Hampshire District Council elections information page explains how to apply for a postal vote or proxy vote.

There is information on gov.uk about registering to vote, and what to do if you live abroad.
